Polymeric sand is simply a granular sand material that is placed within the cracks and joints between stone pavers as a means of interlocking the units and preserving the beauty and integrity of the pavers. A wateractivated polymer is introduced to the sand.
Most pavers connect with basic sand poured and compacted between the joints. The difference between regular sand and sand glue is the composition of the sand. Sand glue is sand with added polymers that bind with water to create sand glue that will harden to a mortarlike consistency.
